And I don't think the memory is working good either... =/ Because my old MOTD is still there, and that tells me: Memory usage: 5%.

Would appreciate any help to solve this... :)

Cheers
Kirill

My memory is at like 4%  O-o

Comments or Help on a Mewbies Tutorial / Old BBS-Style ANSI Art to UTF-8
« Last post by Jason Stewart on March 24, 2017, 05:59:44 PM »
Noticed Mewbies do things along these lines, so I wanted to share this and ask a question.

I made this tool for converting old ANSI art to things I can use in my MOTDs since I couldn't find the right mix of preexisting tools to get the job done:

https://github.com/BourgeoisBear/ansiart2utf8

Does anyone know of something that already does this?  iconv will do most of the character conversion, but I couldn't find any canned tools to expand and sanitize ESC codes such that the lines wrap properly and colors are cleared and restored at the right points.

Also, I tested mostly with Blocktronics files, and I think they mostly do PabloDraw.  If anyone has some files they'd like to try with it, I'd appreciate any feedback.

Comments or Help on a Mewbies Tutorial / link suggestion for telnet page

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this...

http://mewbies.com/acute_terminal_fun_telnet_public_servers_watch_star_wars_play_games_etc.htm

The above page had a link to this forum for any suggestions. I would recommend including mtrek along with your list. It's been online since 1987 and is truly a piece of 'net history. I believe it is still online at http://mtrek.com and has both telnet and web browser option for playing the game.

Thanks!
